How to use a Charcoal Chimney Starter

Here’s our first attempt at using a Charcoal Chimney Starter (this is the Webber Portable Chimney).
A charcoal chimney starter helps you get all your coals hot, and you don’t need lighting fluid or blocks. It can get everything hot with just a few sheets of newspaper.

  1. I prefer a couple weber charcoal lighter cubes under the chimney starter as the rolled up newspaper can be hard to light, its also smokey and small bits of burned newspaper go everywhere, with the Weber lighter cubes, you simply put them under it,light them and its job done.

  2. 45 mins. seems too long.  I think that they suggest you not wait until the top briquettes are coated with ash.  That's waiting too long, using up the lower ones,  and if the lower ones are nice and hot the others will catch when you pour them into the grill.

  3. Well, since you own a Weber's Chimney Starter, then you'll get a kick out of Weber's Lighter Cubes. Dump the newspaper & all that smoke. Lighter cubes are NON-toxic, NO fumes, NO smoke and NO bad after taste in your food.

  4. Appreciate Video clip! Forgive me for butting in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you thought about – Proutklarton Helping Firestarter Plan (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a smashing one of a kind product for getting a $15 optic fire starter for free minus the normal expense. Ive heard some great things about it and my good mate called Gray got amazing results with it.
