INGREDIENTS: 2 chicken breasts (without bones)
A small bunch of fresh cilantro
10 mint leaves
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
1/2 preserved lemon (just the skin)
2-3 garlic
2 tablespoons of water
Salad, rice, or other side dishes



  1. Actually, you can replace the preserved lemon with this: Cut the lemon in half, sprinkle generously with sea salt and microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir the lemon halfs really well and then microwave again for 30 seconds, and there you have it!  Something that isn´t preserved lemons, but it can really help you in a hurry!

  2. Aliya, I hate to say this but you could have bought a 2 burner grill at Bed Bath and Beyond (if you're back in the state) for under $30.00. I do love your recipes and stories though…  Mahbrouk to you and much continued success with your cooking series.

  3. I'm pretty sure you're suppose to put your grilling plate the other way over two burners. & I'm with Nora on this one, that looks no different than the 20-50 dollars ones at local stores, No way I would spend that much! O.O Nice recipe though.
